Fragments of the Sky
Fall/Winter 2011
The Collection themed "Fragment of the Sky", won the overall winner at Hong Kong Young Designers' Contest 2011. It had launched in Joyce bontique after the contest.
The cityscape of Hong Kong and its shadows inspire this collection. Intricate silhouettes unfold with the traditional Chinese paper-cutting technique, which creates a 3D bloom-like shape and layering. The dresses flow in a contrast of black and white, as the city's skyline and building images. The designs are sleek and emotive, carrying a longing for the familiar sky.
The Collection could be folded in flat for storage easily and dress in 3D volume bloom.
